Israel explored continued..

Reporting on last week's activities, I did a tour of Haifa, Acco, Caesarea and Rosh HaNikara.

My experience/learning is as below: -

1. Compared to Tel Aviv, I found Haifa to be an awesome city. It is as High Techy as Tel Aviv. I saw Google office on the way.
2. The Bahai garden in Haifa is just amazing. It is a shame people cannot in the garden to visit it.
3. Haifa has other industries then high tech industries.
4. Learned that people can overspeed upto 130 Km/Hour without police really stopping them (as per the guide)
5. The tour guides son's is a some Major General in Israeli army.
6. Most of the drivers in Israel are bad drivers to my taste. They just don't get the concept of being a good driver.
7. I have never eaten so much salad in my life that now I consume in Israel. Seems to be salad capital.
8. There is so much history in Israel that if you love history, you can almost spend months going through different things here. I am not a history person, so following most of the stories in Caesarea was an issue for me. Some prior reasearch on the places and history related to these places can do some good.
9. I now have the temptation of buying my own place some day in Haifa. It is a city that is build on a mountain, must be a difficult task, but nicely executed.
10. Rosh Hanikara is a miracle of nature. They are caves cut by waves in the limestone rock. Experience the sound of waves cutting through the saves was an experience in itself.
11. Acco has a lot of history but is a beautiful old town as well. Some prior research into history is advisable to get the most out of this place.
12. There are just so many layers of history in Israel, some thin and some thick.
13. People are so proud of the fact that Israel is truly democratic country.
14. I will mention is again, driving is bad here, reminds me of bad driving in India. Amazingly I have only seen one accident upto date of my tour to Haifa, that too a car had a crash with the stones on the road side.
15. On my way to Haifa, I saw Cisco, Microsoft, CA and other big companies just outside of Tel Aviv. I heard the news that Steve Ballmer was in Microsoft Israel few days back.

I want to write so much, but getting not enough time on the Internet these days. Will post pictures soon.
